Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang

Cadillac wasn’t the only manufacturer dropping performance bombs in November. Hot on the heels of the launch of the mainstream 2015 Mustang, the Ford Shelby GT350 is a track-ready Mustang you can keep in your driveway.

Under the hood you’ll find Ford’s first-ever flat-plane crank V8, a 5.2L, high-revving monster pushing “more than” 500 horsepower and 400 lb-ft or torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in Ford’s production history. A six-speed six-speed manual transmission will be the only gearbox offered, and the GT350 has been fitted with Ford’s first ever adaptive damper system (called ManeRide).

Ford claims the “GT350 features the most track-credible brake system ever offered on a Ford vehicle in terms of absolute stopping power, fade resistance and brake pedal feel.”
