Volvo revealed its plans to make its whole lineup in America electrified for the next model year. Sorry, it doesn’t mean all models will become fully electric. Rather, it means every model will get some form of electrification – hybrids, mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and of course, all-electric. Besides these changes, the Swedish automaker has also planned various changes for the XC40 crossover.

The plan includes offering the Volvo XC90, C60 Cross Country, and the XC40 with mild-hybrid powerplants. It is the right step in realizing the company’s objective of making its entire lineup electrified by 2030. The new product line is made to provide customers with a wide choice of electrified powertrains according to their taste and charging situation.

The modifications to the XC40 include a new frameless grille plate and a fresh front bumper. These changes make the styling of the XC40 Hybrid parallel to the new XC40 Recharge EV. Furthermore, the designers have altered the shape of the Thor’s Hammer headlight signature. As far as the interior is concerned, the 2023 XC40 gets the finest leather-free upholstery choices, which the buyers can math with new exterior shades and wheels.

Along with all these changes, we are also expecting to see the built-in Google assistant in the new XC40 and all other models in the range. The system has the capability to get over-the-air updates, meaning the automaker can introduce new facilities and update the existing ones through a software update.

In addition, the 2023 Volvo model years come with a host of design changes. Expect them to have new paint, wheels, and interior choices. For instance, the S60, V60, and V60 Cross Country feature refreshed front grille style and revised rear bumper inserts. The automaker has also decided to remove trim lines, offering buyers to match exterior styling and interior upholstery and add equipment they prefer.

The 2023 Volvo model years are currently in the production phase. The new vehicles should reach the U.S. and other parts of the world anytime this summer, encompassing the refreshed XC40. The new product lineup from Volvo strongly establishes its stance on electrification while offering buyers a choice of getting the model that best suits their lifestyle and likings.

The pricing details will be announced closer to the launch. However, we can tell you the price of 2022 XC40, which starts at AED 163,484.
