Honda has been teasing its mid-engine sports car for quite some time and finally, they revealed it in the concept form. Dubbed as the Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo, the concept sports car is available on the Gran Turismo video game.
The Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo features a “Human Centered Design”. The styling was done at the automaker’s design studio in Los Angeles and got finalized in Japan. The aerodynamic capabilities of the car were tested on computer simulation as well as through Wind Tunnel. The body is constructed with carbon-fiber, and the overall weight stands at 899 kg. The design of the sports car, which resembles a lot like NSX, raises the question whether the Vision GT concept is the replacement model for the Honda S2000. However, the automaker has not yet revealed any details regarding this.
Powering the Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo is a 2.0-liter DOHC-Vtec four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission system. The engine delivers 403 horsepower.
The latest Gran Turismo game was released on October 17th, 2017 and is available on PlayStation 4. It features over 25 new cars from automakers including McLaren, Bugatti, Mercedes and more.
