Ford has launched the all new F-150 Raptor with 6 terrain modes, making it one of the most capable on and off-road vehicle currently available in the market. Here is a quick glimpse at each terrain mode.

Normal Mode

The F-150 Raptor is set to Normal mode by default. It’s designed for everyday on road duties with grunt and thunder for excitement and convenience.

Sport Mode

If you want to kick it up a notch and feel the adrenaline rush, then select the Sport mode. It will tighten the steering of the F-150 Raptor, improve throttle response and hold gears longer.

Weather Mode

For less than ideal conditions, selecting Weather mode will engage advance traction control systems (AdvanceTrac) and optimize throttle and gear for maximum grip in slippery conditions.

Mud/Sand Mode

This mode is for off-road enthusiasts. ELD (Electronic Locking Differential) is engaged along with softer steering for greater control over slippery terrain. Advance Trac also adapts to terrain and lets Raptor tackle loose ground and tight trail like a pro.

Baja Mode

This mode is specifically for running over sand dunes and making desert safari as pleasurable as possible. In this mode, the driver takes full control of Raptor, and AdvanceTrac is configured to its lowest settings. The throttle is stiffened for more linear power and Raptor hold gears longer for a power intensive performance.

Rock Crawl Mode

This mode is for serious off-roading only. The vehicle takes the low gears, as more control is desired instead of speed. ELD is engaged and AdvanceTrac, throttle and gears adapt to the environment, ensuring proper grip and control over rocks. The front camera projects complete view of the terrain in front, and the maximum speed is limited to 24Km in this mode.
