The 2017 Ford F-150 is scheduled to arrive soon, and the good news is, it will no longer feature its old powertrain. The truck will come equipped with a new and improved second generation Ford EcoBoost 3.5-litre V6 engine. The Ford EcoBoost V6 was first introduced in 2011 and it gained a lot of popularity among the light duty truck motorists. Now the American automaker is looking forward to introduce the new edition of the EcoBoost 3.5L V6 engine for the year 2017 with some impressive enhancements.

The 365 horsepower offered by the previous engine remains the same, however, the torque has been increased by 30 lb-ft, which means the 2017 Ford F-150 will generate a total of 450 lb-ft now. The second generation EcoBoost engine includes two fuel injection systems, new pistons that will increase the compression ratio from 10:1 to 10.5:1, new turbochargers and cylinder heads.

The 2017 Ford F-150 will come equipped with the automaker’s new 10 speed automatic transmission system offering unmatched performance as well as boost fuel efficiency.
