If you think that the Bugatti Chiron is the only fastest car unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, then you are definitely wrong. There was one more supercar at the show which packed over 1,500 horsepower. Yes! I am talking about the new Koenigsegg Regera hybrid sports car that has left the audience in complete awe with its sexy cherry red paint and aggressive persona.
It carries a potent twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V-8 engine that produces 1,100 horsepower. Mated to the gasoline engine are 3 electric motors, two of them connected on the rear wheels and one on the crankshaft. These electric motors generate a combined 700 horsepower. The Koenigsegg Regera is capable of hitting the 100 km/h mark in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 410 km/h.
The automaker will build only 80 examples of the Regera and each of them will start at $2 million (€1.8 million).
