With the last Veyron out of the showroom, all eyes are now on the brand’s upcoming super car, the Bugatti Chiron, which is expected to make its debut sometime in 2016. Apart from representing a new era for Bugatti, the Chiron is already creating quite a stir with reports of the car reaching 60 mph (96.6 km/h) in just 2 seconds, thus making it one of the fastest cars in the automotive history.

The Bugatti Chiron will be powered by an updated version of the Veyron’s W-16, quad-turbocharged engine, producing around 1,500 horsepower and over 1,100 pound-feet of torque, thus enabling it to reach a top speed of 288 mph (463.4 km/h). Apart from this, the Chiron is expected to correct some of the faults found in its predecessor, such as an off-set driving position and a heavy curb weight. The car will be priced at about $2.5 million.
