The Corvette ZR1 is ridiculously quick. You know, engineers over at Chevy recently pushed it to the limit on some high-speed track in Germany—Papenburg, to be exact. They say it hit an insane 233 mph. I mean, that’s not just fast; it’s ludicrous. Chevrolet’s proudly proclaiming that this ZR1 is the fastest Corvette ever made.

They’re claiming 2.3 seconds to 60 mph, which, yeah, is crazy. It even beats the E-Ray, which was no slouch with its 2.5-second sprint. Honestly, you’d have to look at hypercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie or a Lamborghini Revuelto to find similar numbers. Those cars also hit 60 in 2.3 seconds, so it’s playing with the big boys now.

Take it to a drag strip, and it’ll nail the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph. That’s Ferrari 296 GTB territory—heck, even the Lamborghini Revuelto lands in that range. But don’t get too excited because Dodge’s Demon 170, built specifically for the strip, still crushes it with an 8.91-second quarter-mile. Dodge has that title on lock, for now at least.

Chevrolet’s numbers make it clear: this ZR1 isn’t just a car—it’s a rocket. Fastest Corvette? Check. Fastest GM car? Double-check. In fact, it’s the quickest sub-million-dollar car that can reach 233 mph. Insane, right?

But—and there’s always a but—we’ve no clue what it’s gonna cost. If the E-Ray starts at over $108K and the Z06 at $113K, this beast might be way pricier. Hopefully, not too outrageous, but with a performance like that, who knows?
