The Toyota Highlander is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the introduction of the Highlander 25th Edition. This special appearance package aims to distinguish the SUV from the rest of the lineup, though you might need a close look to spot the differences.

The 25th Edition retains the familiar Highlander design but adds a touch of flair with silver rocker trim along the sides and silver accent trim at the base of the front and rear fascias. It also features unique 20-inch wheels and is available in gray or white. A 25th Edition badge on the rear liftgate can help you identify this special edition.

Inside, the Highlander 25th Edition continues the theme with branding on the doorsills and seat headrests, which are upholstered in leather. The puddle lamps sport 25th Edition logos, and there are exclusive floormats as well. This edition is based on the Limited Hybrid trim, which comes packed with features like the JBL stereo system, three-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch center display screen. Note that this is a limited-edition model, with only 2,500 units planned for the US market.

Other updates to the Highlander lineup include standard all-wheel drive on all hybrid trims. If you miss out on the 25th Edition but still want the Heavy Metal gray paint, it’s available as an option for the XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims. Hybrid models now have a new badge, and the sporty XSE trim gets the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with a Sport Mode screen.

Currently, Toyota has only announced the base price for the standard Highlander LE FWD, which starts at $39,520 before destination fees. This is a slight increase of $250 over the current model, but expect the starting price for the 2025 Highlander Hybrid to be around $45,000 due to the all-wheel-drive standard on all hybrids.

The 2025 Highlander is set to hit the market in November.
