Nissan is gearing up for a prominent presence at the upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. One of the four exciting vehicles set to debut is an ultra-angular compact crossover featuring striking 23-inch wheels and a multitude of sharp angles, resembling an origami-inspired SUV. The integration of headlights and taillights into the body adds to its distinctive design.
Step inside, and you’ll encounter a futuristic interior devoid of traditional buttons and knobs. Instead, it relies on a sleek steering “wheel” with touch keys. The driver is surrounded by origami-inspired elements in what Nissan calls a “mobile creative studio.” This unique setup caters to influencers and content creators, fittingly named Hyper Punk.
In pursuit of this goal, Nissan has equipped the vehicle with onboard cameras capturing its surroundings. AI then transforms these visuals into captivating scenery. The resulting images grace three dashboard screens: a central vertical display flanked by two horizontals. AI serves a dual role, collaborating with headrest biosensors to gauge the driver’s mood and adjusting ambient lighting and music for a morale boost.
Unsurprisingly, no technical specs accompany this eccentric concept, as its chances of production are slim to none. It’s set to debut physically at the Japan Mobility Show on October 25, coinciding with its presence in Fortnite. Meanwhile, you can already spot it on a 3D billboard in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district, alongside the previously unveiled Hyper Urban, Hyper Adventure, and Hyper Tourer concepts.
