Mercedes-Benz Vans has announced plans to introduce the Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) in 2026, but before that, they are giving their midsize vans a refresh for 2024. The V-Class, V-Class Marco Polo, Vito, e-Vito, and EQV will all receive updates inside and out to stay competitive in their segment. Depending on the trim level, some vans will now feature multiple three-pointed stars on the grille, similar to recent car models like the new E-Class.

Talking about the grille, the V-Class / V-Class Marco Polo and EQV will have an illuminated LED contour, while the V-Class Exclusive model will get a classic hood-mounted upright star for the first time. Multibeam LED headlights will be offered as standard or optional, and the LED taillights will have an updated darkened contour. If you opt for one of the V-Class models or the EQV, you’ll get chrome trim with the Mercedes-Benz lettering. Additionally, there will be five new paint colors and a selection of aero-optimized alloy wheels in 17, 18-, and 19-inch sizes.

Inside the vans, all models will come equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment system. The Vito / eVito will have a 5.5-inch color instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen, while the V-Class / V-Class Marco Polo and EQV will feature two 12.3-inch displays. An updated center console will accommodate an optional wireless charging pad, and there will be new features like a heated steering wheel, keyless start, 64-color ambient lighting, and dimmed rear lighting for night driving.

Moving forward, Mercedes will make a left-side sliding door standard on the V-Class and EQV, and the commercial versions with automatic transmission will come with an electric parking brake as standard. The Active Brake Assist will now also work at intersections, and customers can opt for adaptive Multibeam LED headlights with 84 individually adjustable LEDs. The midsize vans will also have an improved parking package with a 360-degree camera and a trailer maneuvering assistant for vehicles with a trailer hitch and automatic transmission.

The German luxury brand sees these updated vans as a step towards full electrification. Mercedes-Benz Vans predicts that EVs will account for more than half of their total sales by the end of the decade.
