Ferrari not only produces regular road and track cars but also creates exclusive custom vehicles for its most devoted customers. These one-off performance vehicles, such as the Ferrari SP12 designed for Eric Clapton or the Ferrari P4/5 commissioned by James Glickenhaus, exemplify the brand’s special projects. One noteworthy recent addition to this collection is the KC23, which recently participated in the Goodwood Hill Climb event.

The KC23 draws inspiration from the Ferrari 488 GT3 but boasts a distinctive appearance. Sporting butterfly doors, its design is an amalgamation of the Vision Gran Turismo concept and the 499P endurance hypercar, which triumphed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. Its silver metallic finish, known as Gold Mercury, goes beyond a mere paint color. The unique feature involves liquid metal infused into four layers of paint, resulting in a striking, mirror-like sheen for the car.

The KC23 boasts butterfly doors and a distinctive paint job. Moreover, it incorporates motorized air intakes and body panels that automatically open and close based on the engine’s temperature. For track days that demand extra downforce, the rear wing can be easily attached, while it can be removed when the car is parked in the garage, allowing you to appreciate its sleek design.

Despite being developed based on the specifications of an undisclosed patron, Ferrari asserts that the KC23 provides a captivating preview of the future path of their design language. However, while forthcoming Ferrari models may draw inspiration from the KC23’s external design, it is improbable that they will replicate its interior. The interior of the KC23 features a minimalistic configuration, comprising only a duo of bucket seats, a complete roll cage, and a race-spec steering wheel equipped with a range of controls reminiscent of those found in a Formula One car.

While participating in the Goodwood Hillclimb, the driver of the Ferrari KC23 faced the challenge of navigating the wet track while simultaneously ensuring the unique car stayed clear of the hay bales. Remarkably, he managed to achieve success on both fronts. The KC23, adorned with a gleaming paint job that reflected the somber atmosphere, raced along the course with the V8 engine emitting an aggressive growl.
