Fiat introduces the Seicento, a compact vehicle full of charm and character, making its highly-anticipated return following a 13-year absence. While it shares a name with its predecessor, the new 600 is a complete departure from the past. Instead of the familiar three-door hatchback design, it now boasts a versatile five-door crossover configuration for enhanced functionality. Underneath, it shares its mechanical underpinnings with the Jeep Avenger and utilizes the e-CMP2 platform, jointly developed by Stellantis. Notably, this platform will also serve as the foundation for an upcoming Alfa Romeo model set to debut in 2024.
The newly released Fiat Seicento has a length of 4.17 meters (164.1 inches) and offers the option of 18-inch wheels. It takes clear inspiration from the popular 500 city car but in a larger form. The prominently displayed “600” emblem takes center stage, while the Fiat logo is only present on the tailgate. The design maintains a recognizable appearance, employing a similar approach to MINI‘s development of the Countryman from the Cooper hatchback.

After the battery runs out, it can be recharged at a maximum rate of 100 kilowatts. In such cases, it will require less than 30 minutes to restore the battery to 80 per cent capacity. The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor producing 154 horsepower (115 kilowatts), accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in nine seconds. It is promoted as the larger counterpart of the Fiat 500e and will also offer a hybrid powertrain starting in mid-2024.
The car’s interior takes inspiration from the hatchback variant and offers a range of impressive features. It includes a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and a high-quality six-speaker sound system. In addition, Fiat adds convenient amenities such as an electric tailgate, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, and sensors for rain and light conditions.
In Italy, the brand-new 600 model in its fully electric form has a starting price of €35,950 for the Red edition. If you prefer the top-of-the-line La Prima variant with all the luxurious features, it will cost you €40,950. The production of this vehicle is scheduled to commence this month at the Tychy manufacturing facility in Poland, which will also be responsible for producing the Jeep Avenger. While the Jeep Avenger has been introduced as a concept with all-wheel-drive capabilities, the Fiat 600 will exclusively feature a front-wheel-drive configuration.
