BMW dealerships are anticipated to experience increased activity in the upcoming months as the renowned luxury brand unveils its intentions to introduce multiple additions to the i4, i7, and 7-series lineups for the 2024 model year.
2024 i4 xDrive40
Scheduled to become a part of the i4 lineup around the latter part of this year, the 2024 BMW i4 xDrive40 is essentially the all-wheel-drive variant of the rear-wheel-drive eDrive40 model. With the assistance of an electric motor that propels the front wheels, the i4 xDrive40 offers enhanced grip and an extra 61 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 396 horsepower.
With an impressive torque of 443 pound-feet, BMW states that the i4 xDrive40 can reach 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The power comes from an 80.7-kWh battery pack, and the company claims 307 miles of drive range on a single charge. These numbers are based on the standard 18-inch wheels; if you choose the 19-inch option, the estimated range decreases to 282 miles. The EPA estimates are not available yet. As for pricing, the i4 xDrive40 starts at $62,595.
2024 7-Series Updates
One year following a comprehensive overhaul, the 7-series range now welcomes a new addition known as the 750e, which is a plug-in hybrid option. The new model features a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine and an electric motor seamlessly positioned between the engine and the automatic transmission. This powertrain generates a total output of 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
The upcoming 2024 BMW 750e xDrive boasts a remarkable all-wheel drive capability and is expected to provide an impressive electric driving range exceeding 35 miles. This highly anticipated PHEV sedan will become available for purchase in autumn, starting at $107,995.
For customers preferring a hassle-free experience without the need for a plug, BMW is introducing an all-wheel-drive variant of the 740i, featuring a powerful 375-hp engine. This exciting option will arrive at authorised dealerships during the third quarter of this year with a starting price of $100,395.
2024 i7 eDrive50
Last year marked the introduction of the BMW i7 electric vehicle. Initially, it was solely available in the xDrive60 variant, featuring all-wheel drive and a powerful 536 horsepower. However, in 2024, BMW will expand the i7 lineup with two additional models. One is the i7 M70, boasting an impressive 650 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The other is the eDrive50, which focuses on rear-wheel drive. These additions provide a broader range of options for potential buyers.
The newer version includes a solitary electric motor with an output of 449 horsepower. BMW presently refrains from disclosing the projected range or performance metrics but assures that this information will be unveiled prior to its release in autumn. The initial cost of the upcoming i7 eDrive50 for 2024 is set at $106,695.
