Check out this exciting new teaser video showcasing the Audi RS E-Tron GT Ice Race Concept, set to make its grand debut on May 28. Alongside this stunning model, Audi has crafted a companion in the form of the Audi Sport Quattro, featuring an impressive electric powertrain.
While specific technical information on these vehicles remains undisclosed, we know that they exhibit identical shades of gray, purple, and white. Aside from these enhancements, the exterior design has no apparent alterations.
Regrettably, information regarding the transformation of the Sport Quattro into an electric vehicle (EV) remains unknown at this time. In order to preserve its all-wheel-drive configuration, there is a possibility that electric motors could be employed to propel each axle.
Internally, the RS E-Tron GT Ice Race Concept showcases a white interior upholstery complemented by black accents. Notably, it proudly displays the emblem originating from the Audi Exclusive customization department.
The preview footage reveals an exciting scene of the E-Tron GT and Sport Quattro towing a skier across a majestic snow-covered mountain. Surprisingly, the video does not feature them maneuvering on icy terrain. Unveiling an ice racing concept towards the end of May presents a captivating decision. This period typically finds many individuals daydreaming about sun-soaked summer adventures rather than wintry frost.
The current RS E-Tron GT model incorporates a pair of electric motors, with one motor powering each axle. This configuration yields an impressive power output of up to 637 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque when engaged in Boost mode. Under regular driving conditions, the powertrain delivers 590 hp. Notably, the vehicle’s rear end is equipped with a two-speed transmission, enabling swift acceleration as the sedan reaches 60 miles per hour in a mere 3.1 seconds.
Moreover, the sedan features a 93.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which offers an estimated range of 232 miles. It is worth mentioning that this battery is capable of DC fast charging at speeds of up to 270 kilowatts.
The RS E-Tron GT has a base price of $145,395, which already includes the $1,495 destination fee. If you opt for all the additional features and accessories, the total cost can reach up to $165,645. Among the enhancements are a braking package priced at $7,100, featuring carbon-ceramic front and rear discs. Additionally, a Carbon Performance option is available for $6,450, including laser headlights, rear-wheel steering, and carbon fibre trim.
