Ford Motor Corporation shall resume accepting orders for the Mustang Mach-E within North America as of May 3, upon the successful completion of plant upgrades in Mexico. These upgrades are intended to facilitate an increased production ramp in the second half of 2023, surpassing the original estimations.

The Mustang Mach-E, an all-electric crossover vehicle that has garnered significant attention and admiration from both automobile enthusiasts and industry professionals, will introduce a range of feature improvements. These enhancements include a heightened range for the standard range battery models, augmented power, abbreviated charging periods, and a 90-day complimentary BlueCruise trial.

Furthermore, Ford has disclosed that the buyers of the Mustang Mach-E shall be presented with a free trial of BlueCruise, valid for a period of 90 days. This initiative will allow drivers to examine and evaluate the latest advancements in automotive technology and further understand the capabilities of this innovative vehicle. In addition to these updates and advancements, the Mustang Mach-E shall be returning to the market with decreased prices.

Commencing with the range amplifications, the 2023 iteration of the Mustang Mach-E will grant EPA-estimated ranges of 250 miles for RWD and 226 miles for eAWD versions on standard range models due to the implementation of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries across the board.

As a result of this battery modification, the eAWD model will experience a boost of 45 horsepower in maximum output, bringing the total to a staggering 311 horsepower (232 kilowatts). This, in turn, translates to a more rapid 0-60 mph acceleration time of 5.1 seconds for the Mach-E Standard Range eAWD variant.

In addition to enhanced range and potency, the standard range iterations of the Mustang Mach-E are now capable of recharging more frequently to a full 100 per cent using AC home charging. While cruising, the DC fast charging duration for battery capacities between 10 per cent and 80 per cent has decreased by 5 minutes in contrast to earlier standard range models, clocking in at a mere 33 minutes.

Marin Gjaja, chief customer officer of Ford Model E said, “We continue to find ways to improve the value of the Mustang Mach-E. Upgraded BlueCruise rolling out for new and existing Mustang Mach-E owners, increased range, and faster DC charging times on standard range models show how we are relentlessly improving our products for our customers.”

Ford additionally indicates that the BlueCruise feature, which enables hands-free driving on highways, is now accessible and includes a complementary 90-day experiment as all SUVs of the Mustang Mach-E brand are built with the indispensable hardware to support it.

This examination permits purchasers to sample the technology during the initial stages of ownership and activate it at their discretion through a subscription. If customers find it more convenient, they may opt for a 3-year subscription as part of the vehicle acquisition.

The manufacturer has constructed an internal team committed to ceaselessly enhancing BlueCruise with attributes and functionality for ” a more natural driving feel,” according to the statement.

Fresh aspects of BlueCruise 1.2 encompass hands-free lane transitions when solicited by the operator tapping the turn indicator, as well as an In-Lane Repositioning capability that aids in maintaining the automobile within its lane while delicately moving position away from automobiles in surrounding lanes.

Regarding pricing, the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E has undergone a reduction in cost of up to $4,000, depending on the specific variant being considered. The table above provides more detailed information on the varying price reductions.

Of note, the Premium RWD and Premium AWD Standard Range models, as well as the GT AWD Extended Range model, experience the greatest price cut at $4,000. Conversely, the California Route 1 AWD Extended Range model sees a more modest reduction in price at $1,000.

Unfortunately, the Mach-E is not officially available in the UAE, so you have to import it to enjoy this zero-emission Blue Oval vehicle.
