The renowned German vehicle tuner, Mansory is not one to be associated with modest designs. The P900, a Mercedes-AMG G63 creation that boasts an undeniably audacious appearance, is precisely the kind of automobile that you would anticipate from this company. However, even with this foreknowledge, witnessing the sheer grandeur of this automotive masterpiece is truly a spectacle to behold.
Mansory proclaims that the P900 embodies the essence of desert sand performance. The body of this automotive masterpiece features a captivating gold hue, aptly named Sand Desert Gloss that bewitches the eyes and kindles the imagination. To add an element of contrast to this captivating color, certain parts of the car’s design, such as the hood, rear wing, and numerous pieces of trim, have been meticulously crafted using forged carbon fibre. The SUV glides gracefully upon monoblock-style wheels, whose impressive diameter spans 24 inches.
The interior of the P900 is equally alluring, featuring a sandy shade that is slightly more orange-toned than the exterior. This subtle yet tantalising colour scheme is further enhanced by the delicate piping, which gracefully winds its way through the interior, adding a touch of sophistication and refinement to the overall aesthetic.
The moniker of P900 was attributed to the vehicular enhancements made by the prestigious Mansory, which culminated in an unparalleled augmentation of the car’s powertrain. The said improvements have facilitated a remarkable surge in the vehicle’s power output, elevating it to an unprecedented level of 899 horsepower (equivalent to 670 kilowatts) and 885 pound-feet (or 1,200 Newton-meters) of torque. For reference, you should know a conventional G63 model, available in the United States, registers a comparably inferior power output of 577 hp and 627 lb-ft.
The modifications implemented by Mansory have resulted in the G63 achieving previously unattainable feats, such as accelerating from 0 to 62 miles per hour in a mere 3.5 seconds and attaining a maximum speed of 155 mph. These accomplishments signify a substantial improvement from the base model’s initial acceleration of reaching 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph.
Mercedes-Benz is in the process of bestowing significant enhancements upon its iconic G-Class, as recent sightings from spy shots have shown. These images suggest that an updated iteration of the SUV is currently in the works, featuring a freshened front and rear fascia, with newly updated graphics gracing the headlights. Moreover, it appears that the interior may be blessed with the latest iteration of cutting-edge MBUX infotainment technology.
However, the most noteworthy development in this regard is the forthcoming release of the electric EQG in 2024. Despite being akin in appearance to its combustion-powered counterpart and boasting a robust ladder frame chassis, the EQG is outfitted with an electric motor for each wheel, which permits it to accomplish tank turns. This revolutionary setup is reputed to generate between 600 and 670 horsepower, while the battery pack can purportedly provide up to 310 miles of range.
Mercedes recently rejoiced in constructing the 500,000th G-Class since initiating production in 1979. To memorialize this momentous occasion, the corporation endowed it with a vintage colour scheme.
