The auto industry is buzzing with the exciting arrival of the brand-new Trax in Chevy’s small-SUV lineup for 2024. But, hold on a minute, the similarly-sized TrailBlazer isn’t being left behind either. This compact SUV has undergone a stunning transformation, with a fresh new look, added flair, and impressive upgrades.
The exterior of the 2024 TrailBlazer boasts updated styling and two eye-catching new hues – Copper Harbor and Cacti Green. The wheel designs have also been revamped, with the sporty RS trim sporting a bold 19-inch wheel. The front and back ends have been given a fresh touch with new grilles, bumpers, headlights, and taillights. The Activ model, known for its rugged appearance, now has its own unique grille design and additional trim elements.
Step inside and prepare to be impressed by the digital gauge cluster and the massive 11.0-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash. No longer will drivers have to settle for a tiny screen – the new display comes standard, offering a significant upgrade over the previous 7.0-inch touchscreen. This new screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it even easier to stay connected on the go.
Under the hood, the TrailBlazer is powered by a turbocharged 1.2-liter inline-three engine with 137 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. For those seeking more power, there is an available turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-three engine that produces 155 horsepower and comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive is also an option for the upgraded engine. The Trax, while less expensive, only comes with a 1.2-liter engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive.
The base price has gone up by $1000 to $24,395, while the RS and Activ trims now start at $28,395.
