Kia has announced the pricing of the new 2023 Sorento, and it will be costlier than the previous model. The price starts at $31,285 (inclusive of the $1,295 destination fee), which is a $400 increase over the 2022 LX.
The new Kia Sorento gives buyers a choice of a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder or a turbo engine. The naturally aspired mill is capable of creating 191 horsepower (142 kilowatts) and 181 pound-feet (245 Newton-meters) of torque, while the Turbo is more powerful at 281 hp (209 kW) and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm) of torque. This turbo mates to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, whereas the naturally aspirated mill uses an eight-speed automatic.

Kia didn’t update the Sorento design for the 2023 model year, but they have added more features across the lineup. The AWD is a standard affair for the flagship SX Prestige along with retractable rear door shades, a 115-volt power inverter, updated bumpers, and shiny black exterior highlights. The base LX gets blind-spot crash avoidance, rear-cross traffic crash prevention, and safe exit assist.
Not much has changed in other trim levels, so we should not be too excited. For instance, the Sorento S only receives smartphone charging, and the EX offers an eight-way power front passenger seat and a frameless rearview mirror. The SX now has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, power-folding exterior mirrors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The X-Line Package changes the looks by supplementing 20-inch alloy wheels, distinctive bumper and exterior specifics, and a roof rack.
The price of other Sorento models has already been revealed. The new 2023 Kia Sorento Hybrid demands $37,885, whereas the plug-in hybrid is the most expensive in the lineup, starting at $51,185.
The all-new Sorento has hit the UAE dealerships.
