The GMC Sierra EV debuts to join the Hummer EV at GMC showrooms, and with this, the brand now has two all-electric pickup trucks. The model we see here is the Sierra Denali Edition 1, which wears a hefty price tag of $108,695. It will be the only model available at the start, and less expensive variants will come later.

Similar to its Silverado EV sibling, it has a unibody construction with Ultium batteries fit in as a structural component of the electric truck. GMC says the Sierra can cover 400 miles on a single charge and add 100 miles in only 10 minutes on a 350 kW charger. For emergencies, the truck will be able to power a house’s essential appliances for 21 days.

The zero-emission Sierra comes with only a crew cab configuration with almost a six feet long bed. It also has a midgate opening up the interior and stretching the floor area to nine feet. With the MultiPro tailgate folded, you get around 11 feet of floor space. Besides, the Power Station Pro allows 10.2 kW of off-board power via ten outlets for campsites. You can also recharge another electric vehicle with this system.

Regarding power, the all-new Sierra EV Denali can generate 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque – the same we get from the Silverado EV RST. The dual motor setup can power all the wheels, and with the Max Power mode can hit 60 mph in only 4.0 Seconds.

Four-wheel steering with Crabwalk mode is accessible, and air ride suspension enables you to raise and lower the truck by up to two inches. The tow rating stands at 9,500 pounds, while the truck can haul 1,300 pounds in the bed.

The interior has a 16.8-inch portrait-oriented display, an 11.8-inch driver display, and lots of high-tech amenities such as the Super Cruise, a panoramic roof, 14 cameras, Bose sound, and a hands-free starting system. The latter enables you to drive the Sierra by just keeping the key fob in your pocket. No need to even click push-start button.

The GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will hit the dealerships in 2024, while the AT4 and the Elevation will come in 2025. The booking is open to interested customers.
