Bentley has refreshed the 2023 Bentayga Hybrid. The British automaker has a lot more to offer this year in terms of power, range, and even the trim levels that actually are carryovers from the petrol models.
Powertrain
The power comes from the same old turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine that gets assistance from a 100.0-kilowatt electric motor. It is the same setup as the 2022 Bentayga Hybrid but it now gets juice from a bigger 18.0-kilowatt-hour battery pack instead of last year’s 13.0-kilowatt-hour unit. The larger battery adds two miles to the electric range, increasing it from 25 miles (40 kilometers) to 27 miles (43 kilometers).
Besides the improved drive range, the new Bentayga Hybrid offers more power. Bentley mentions a six per cent bump in power, allowing the hybrid to produce 456 horsepower (340 kilowatts), instead of 443 hp (326 kw) last year. The torque is also up by 15 per cent.
New Trim Levels
Apart from the extra range and more power, the Bentayga Hybrid welcomes two new models in the lineup for 2023 – The Bentayga Hybrid S, and Azure. The S emphasizes sportiness, which is evident from its more assertive visual and performance nods. It gets tougher suspension, more aggressively adjusted traction control for Sport mode, and a deep exhaust note to pronounce its sporty nature. It comes equipped with the Blackline package that replaces the exterior chrome elements with glossy black.
The Bentayga Hybrid Azure takes the luxury path and boasts the standard Front Seat Comfort package. The package includes 22-way power adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation and a trim-unique diamond quilted stitching design in the leather. Interested customers have the liberty to pick from 15 varied leather shades and three exclusive wood trim finishes including Dark Walnut, Crown-Cut Walnut, and Koa.
Availability
Bentley will start selling the Hybrid S and Hybrid Azure before the end of this year. The pricing details are not available yet.
