SAIC Audi has introduced the new Q6 in China, featuring three rows and seating for up to seven occupants. The new Audi Q6 is a dressed-up version of the Volkswagen Atlas, boasting plenty of techs, opulence, and other facilities.

On the front, we see a big, octagonal grille, two vertical air intakes, and slim headlights. The lights take place at the top of the hood’s edge. At the back, we see the taillights span the full width of the liftgate. This design element differs from the Q6 E-Tron that the automaker is also producing right now.

Powertrain

Audi gives buyers two mill options – a 2.0-litre four-cylinder and a 2.5-litre six-cylinder. The base 2.0-litre mill creates 261 horsepower (195 kilowatts) and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters) of torque. On the other hand, the bigger and more powerful engine yields 295 hp (220 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. The latter powerplant has the capability to hit 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 7.3 seconds.

It is the first time that the fourth-generation EA888 2.0T engine has found a place in an Audi vehicle in China. The Quattro all-wheel-drive is stock for all variants, while an adaptive dynamic suspension system is optional.

Dimensions

If you seek the biggest Audi in the lineup, the new Q6 is the one with a length of 200.75 inches (5,099 millimeters), a width of 79.29 inches (2,014 mm), and a height of 70.23 inches (1,784 mm). The wheelbase measures 117.32 inches (2980 mm). The biggest Audi boasts 84.36 cubic feet (2,389 litres) of boot space.

Interior

Enter the cabin, and we find a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit and a 10.1-inch infotainment display, along with an available 8.6-inch touchscreen to control seat settings. The luxury crossover features Audi AI Pro Tech, which comes with various driver assistance facilities. We are talking about intelligent parking assistance, full-speed adaptive cruise, and other highly desirable safety features. The interior seating is accessible for six or seven occupants.

Exterior

The new Audi Q6 gives buyers eight colour choices comprising Crouching Tiger White, Awakening Lion Grey, Flying Dragon Blue, Fulu Brown, Xuanniu Black, Snow Python Silver, Pegasus Blue, and the brand’s first matte brown lacquer known as Kirin. The wheel options are available in 19-, 20-, and 21-inch specifications.
