Hyundai is bringing a visually altered i30 N model that is more stylish than the standard version. Accessible in standard six-speed manual or eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission, the new Hyundai i20 N Drive-N Limited Edition comes with a personalized numbered plate to hint it’s not the normal version of the performance hatchback. The automaker will only create 800 units of this visually enhanced model, with 620 allocated for the European market.
The Limited Edition i30 N comes in Phantom Black Pearl and a freshly revealed Serenity White Pearl paint. It doesn’t matter which shade you choose, the Drive-N received elegant 19-inch forged wheels with a dark bronze matte finish to match the dark Hyundai emblems. To make it different from the regular i30 N, the Drive-N Limited Edition gets historical side graphics that we find on the front and back.
Besides, we can also see distinct emblems on the front fenders showcasing GPS coordinates of the Hyundai Motor Europe Test Centre at the Nürburgring in Germany. It is the location where Hyundai’s performance division has been creating and testing its new offerings since 2011.
While we are discussing performance, Hyundai uses the same turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine generating 276 horsepower and 392 Newton-meters (289 pound-feet) of torque as available in the standard model.
The red piping at the lower part of the exterior can be seen on the front seats along with glowing “N” emblems reminiscent of a particular Bavarian brand. The automaker even has created new floor mats using red piping and wording that signifies it’s the Drive-N Limited Edition model.
Similar to what we get in the regular i30 N, the limited edition also features an N Grin Shift (NGS) button that has the ability to increase power output by 10 hp for 20 seconds. The i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition is a model packed full of goodies like a glass roof, a rear stiffness bar, and other high-end facilities.
The South Korean automaker has opened its order book for the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition and plans to deliver 75 units for the UK market.
