Skoda has introduced the Enyaq Coupe iV RS, a zero-emission Czech equivalent to the VW ID.5 GTX. It is actually the range-topping version in the all-electric Enyaq range delivering 295 horsepower (220 kilowatts) and 460 Newton-meters (339 pound-feet) – 100% same we get from the ID.5 GTX.
It is not only the first all-electric RS model from Skoda but also the most powerful one ever, even more robust than the all-wheel-drive Super Sportline 2.0 TSI.
Skoda claims the Enyaq Coupe RS’s powertrain enables it to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and attain a maximum speed of 180 km/h or 20 km/h extra than the lower variants. The Coupe RS employs two motors powering all the wheels taking juice from the larger 82-kWh battery pack. A 36 minutes charge enables it juice up from 10 per cent to 80 per cent.
Speaking of the exterior, the Mamba Green hue comes from the Octavia RS and the swoopy shape does not only make it more stylish but also improves its aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.234.
The electric Enyaq RS features Skoda’s illuminated front grille using 131 light-emitting diodes, matrix LED headlights, and LED taillights. Besides, it is 15 mm lower at the front and 10 mm at the back due to stock sports suspension. Customers can opt for 18, 19, 20, or 21-inch wheels.
Moving below the RS, buyers can have a more affordable Sportline with a similar design and lowered ride height but of course without the extra power output. Another step-down, you can have Enyaq Coupe single motor, rear-wheel-drive models with a smaller 62-kWh battery, delivering 177 hp (132 kW) or 201 hp (150 kW).
If you are seeking to get the best drive range from your Enyaq Coupe, select the larger battery with the 201-hp rear motor and enjoy driving up to 339 miles (545 kilometers).
The standard interior facilities include the panoramic glass roof, 13-inch touchscreen for the infotainment, and a 5.3-inch fully digital driver’s display. If you are ready to dish out more, you can benefit from a head-up display with augmented reality tech, a 13-speaker Canton sound system, and a wireless charging pad.
The Skoda Enyaq Coupe will be accessible later this year wearing the highest price tag for any car they have produced so far, particularly for the RS model.
