The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) launched the HyperSport Responder last Friday at Expo 2020 Dubai. This addition not only makes it the fastest and most expensive ambulance responder in the DCAS fleet but also in the whole world.

Created by the UAE-based automaker, W Motors, the Lykan HyperSport came with a hefty price tag of Dh13 million. The company only made seven of these speed beasts and this emergency responder is one of them.

The HyperSport Responder carries a twin-turbocharged Porsche engine generating 780 horsepower. This power enables it to hit the 100 km/h mark from a standstill position in 2.8 seconds and top out at 400 km/h.

The supercar’s LED headlights employ 440 diamonds, while we see gold-plated interior roof and gold stitched leather upholstery inside.

Khalifa bin Darrai, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), stated: “Dubai has become synonymous with everything that is unique and the first in the world. The launch of ‘HyperSport Responder’ reflects Dubai’s unique position as one of the leading cities in the world in the field of innovation. The car’s speed and capabilities can significantly reduce response time during emergencies and ensure timely intervention.”

On the outside, we find ‘Dubai, the world’s best city to live in’ catchphrase as well as ‘DubaiDestinations’ emblem – a program lately unveiled by the Dubai Media Council to emphasise Dubai’s distinct events and happenings. The supercar will be a new charm for visitors of Expo 2020 – the biggest cultural festival in the globe.

Coming back to the HyperSport Responder, it has a hand-built carbon-fibre structure, boasting various advanced facilities such as the planet’s first 3D hologram holographic mid-air display with interactive motion control, a satellite navigation, and so on.

Those who have watched the Furious 7 would still remember the car jumping from one building into another midair. Yeah, that was Lykan HyperSport.

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services already has a 331 ambulance in its fleet. This addition will aid to improve the emergency response system of the organisation.
