Porsche introduced the Taycan Sport Turismo wagon at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show to boost the electric car’s appeal. The wagon model was shown in GTS trim and now the company has revealed three more variants in the range, namely Base, Turbo, and flagship Turbo S. Unfortunately, the accessibility of all these aren’t guaranteed in every market.
According to Car and Driver, “the Taycan Sport Turismo will continue to be offered solely as a GTS in the United States.”
It would have been great to get this luxurious electric wagon in all flavours, particularly the AWD 670-hp Turbo and 750-hp Turbo S trims. The entry-level model with rear-wheel-drive 375 hp powertrain and optional Performance Battery Plus would have also been a good addition in the EV market of the U.S.
According to the automaker’s assessment, the Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, a little behind the 2.4-second 0-96.5 kph acceleration for the standard Turbo S.
The 4S is the best in terms of range in the lineup, offering 309 miles between charges according to the European WLTP testing cycle.
The complete lineup of the Porsche Sport Turismo will be accessible to customers in Europe from March. On the other hand, the 590-hp GTS Sport Turismo will hit the roads in the U.S. before summer.
The pricing details are still a mystery but we hope they will not stray much away from their sedan siblings.
We are not sure when Porsche will offer the Taycan Wagon in the UAE, but it should be here in summer if the company decides to sell it here. Presently, Porsche offers the Taycan sedan in four trim levels in the UAE.
The base model starts at AED 367,900, the 4S demands AED 437,900, the Turbo goes for AED 608,900 and the range-topping Turbo S costs a whopping AED 788,000.
