2022 Mazda3 Carbon Edition Comes To Increase Model’s Visual Appeal

Mazda has introduced a new Carbon Edition variant for the 2022 Mazda3 to beef up its already gorgeous looks. Moreover, there is a unique paint option on select trim levels.

The 2022 Mazda3 Carbon Edition sports a Polymetal Gray shade, 18-inch wheels with a black finish, and heated side mirrors. Get inside, and you will find leather upholstery, a Bose 12-speaker stereo with aluminium speaker grilles and a three-month subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio.

It borrows some of its facilities from the Preferred variant, including a power moonroof, a memory function for the side mirrors, and an eight-way power driver seat. 

Speaking of power, the new Mazda3 Carbon Edition uses the Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels. The mill creates 186 horsepower (139 kilowatts) and 186 pound-feet (252 Newton-meters) of torque.

The Mazda3 sedan goes for $26,400 (excluding $1,015 destination) at least, while the hatchback demands $27,400.

The Platinum Quartz Metallic is the new shade customers can order for the S Select, S Preferred, S Premium, Turbo, and Turbo Premium Select models. It is not a premium colour, so it will not cost you extra.

While the Carbon Edition comes equipped with the 2.5-litre mill, the base model is powered by the Skyactiv-G 2.0-litre four-cylinder generating 155 hp (116 kW) and 150 lb-ft (200 Nm). The engine’s power is channelled to a six-speed automatic transmission and the front wheels.

Besides, customers can also opt for the Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre turbocharged engine good for 250 hp (186 kW) and 320 lb-ft (434 Nm). It also mates to a six-speed automatic but powers all the wheels.
