Audi is adding another member to the e-Tron family, the smaller and affordable Q4 e-Tron. The 2022 Audi Q4 e-Tron costs less than the ICE-powered Q5 at $44,995 and is a few dollars more expensive than its down-market counterpart, the Volkswagen ID.4.
The 2022 Audi Q4 e-Tron borrows its powertrain from the VW. The standard 40 model comes with a single rear-mounted electric motor generating 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque.
The upper level Q4 50 e-Tron costs $50,995, featuring an all-wheel-drive thanks to another electric motor on the front axle that takes the maximum power output to 295 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque.
The most expensive Q4 e-Tron Sportback starts at $53,795, boasting an all-wheel drive.
The automaker only revealed the driving range of the e-Tron 50 trim levels, delivering 241 miles EPA-estimated. We believe the e-Tron 40 will be more efficient since the ID.4’s AWD covers fewer miles than its RWD equal.
