Yesterday, we gave most of the details on the new 2022 Tundra but couldn’t brief you about all the trim levels. Today’s post is about all the models available in the range, including SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, and TRD Pro. Crew- and extended-cab layouts are accessible with a variety of three different bed lengths, and a new twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine known as iForce Max is obtainable on all but the SR and SR5 trim levels.

The automaker showed us pictures of a few models with various option packages. We are sure there will be more, but for now, we only know about the following:

Tundra SR5 with TRD Sport Package

Unfortunately, Toyota still didn’t reveal the base SR trim images, but you can see the SR5 (pictured above), boasting a 389-hp twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre V-6. The one here is painted in Lunar Rock, a shade formerly accessible only on the TRD Pro, and it includes the TRD Sport package (exclusive to the SR5). This package comprises 20-inch black TRD wheels, a TRD grille, a lowered suspension, and a TRD shifter.

Tundra Limited with TRD Off-Road Package

It is a Limited trim level painted in Supersonic Red, with an option of TRD Off-Road package, which adds 20-inch wheels (18-inchers on the SR5), a TRD grille, Bilstein dampers, skid plates, mudguards, and a TRD leather shifter.

Tundra Platinum

From Platinum, the 2022 Tundra gets plusher. The pictured truck here has the optional rear air springs (obtainable on the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 trims) that have the ability to lift the Tundra for low-speed off-road driving or drop it for effortless loading or link up a trailer. The Platinum comes equipped with grey 20-inch wheels and wears the Blueprint paint. This model also features an exclusive four-bar grille and interior ambient lighting that’s unique to the Limited and 1794 models.

Tundra 1794 with TRD Off-Road Package

The 1794 Special Edition was available previously, reminding us of the facility in San Antonio, Texas, where Toyota develops this truck. Before this facility was inaugurated, the place was a ranch that first started in 1794.

This 1794 Special Edition example here sports Mesquite and the TRD Off-Road package. The 1794 units without this package feature more chrome trim.

Tundra TRD Pro

The 2022 Tundra TRD Pro is the range-topping model in the lineup with special off-road abilities. It is equipped to rival the likes of the F-150 Tremor and Chevy Silverado Trail Boss. It has a TRD Pro-precise grille with “Toyota” text across the top, and an integrated LED light bar under it.

Toyota has used Fox dampers with internal-bypass chambers, remote reservoirs, TRD Pro wheels sporting 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires. The automaker’s Multi-Terrain Select drive modes come standard, and so is the Crawl Control, which works pretty much like low-speed off-road cruise control.
