Kia has announced the pricing information of the 2022 Sorento. The updated SUV comes with a slightly higher price than the outgoing model and gets some new trim levels as well as a new PHEV model, which was recently unveiled.

The exterior updates aren’t significant. The only change we notice is the new Kia logo. Besides, the automaker now offers the X-Line package for the Sorento EX and S variants. Moreover, the Sorento Hybrid gets an all-wheel drivetrain (with 19-inch wheels for the EX trim). The latest 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation and telematics is part of the standard deal from the S version onwards.

Furthermore, the top-spec SX Prestige now comes with 14-way power-adjustable memory seats and thigh extenders as well as heated captain chairs for the rear passengers.

Getting back to the pricing information, the 2022 Sorento commands $29,490 for the entry-level LX FWD variant, which is $100 costlier than before. Select all-wheel drivetrain and the price goes up by $1,800. The X-Line AWD demands an extra $2,000 whereas the X-Line EX AWD is $3,700 more expensive than the EX FWD.

Hybrid trims start at $33,990 for the S FWD trim and an all-wheel drivetrain would add another $1800.

All these prices do not include the $1,175 destination and handling fees. Curiously, the Korean automaker didn’t provide us with the pricing details of the 2022 Sorento PHEV. It will be accessible on SX and SX Prestige variants.
