After a teaser last week, Lamborghini has now resurrected the Countach nameplate with the new model boasting the retro looks of the past. The automaker displayed it at the Pebble Beach Concours on Aug 14. Lamborghini stopped producing the Countach 30 years back and now it has revived it with the present Aventador’s platform and some exclusive features of its own that make it quite a looker.
It is powered by the same 6.5-litre hybrid V12 engine that is available in the Sian FKP 37 generating 803 hp. The company claims it can accelerate to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and top out at (356 km/h). The power goes to all the wheels via a seven-speed gearbox.
Look-wise, the new Lamborghini Countach take most of its cues from its predecessor the LP400. The white paint exclusively reminds us of the iconic 25th Anniversary Edition. The exclusive features include new taillights, quad exhaust tips, 20- and 21-inch wheels, and scissor doors.
The new Lamborghini Countach should hit the roads before the end of this year. The pricing details aren’t out yet but rumours say it will be over $1 million. The automaker plans to build only 112 units of the supercar.
