Lamborghini first introduced the Countach nameplate in a prototype form five decades ago. It was shown to the world at the 1971 Geneva motor show. And now the company has publicized a teaser video, which marks the revival of the nameplate.
We make dreams come true. We did it with the classic Countach in the 1970s. And we’re doing it again. The new Lamborghini Countach is coming. #Lamborghini #Countach pic.twitter.com/nXctgIuyqe

Seeing the short video, we can’t find much about the upcoming supercar. We see a young child sticking an artwork of the Countach prototype on his wall and say, “What do you see? A new image ready to be hung on a wall or the rebirth of a dream?”
In the last scene, we see a white, wedge-shaped car from some distance, which indicates the rebirth of the Countach nameplate.
The company has also released a teaser image of the new Lamborghini Countach wrapped in a sheet. While we cannot describe any features of the new supercar, the typical Lamborghini wedge identity is crystal clear.
We have also seen a leaked image through Roadshow displaying the complete moniker of the new car, the Countach LPI 800-4. It shows, the new supercar will be a production model and possibly carry a hybrid powertrain.
The LPI means “Longitudinale Posteriore Ibrido”, and it was used for the 2014 Asterion hybrid concept. The 800 would be 800 PS, or 789 horsepower, while the 4 indicates the four-wheel-drive nature of the vehicle.
Reportedly, the new Lamborghini will be a special edition car, costing around 1 million US dollars. We would know more about it during 2021 Monterey Car Week.
