At the 2021 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Lincoln and Shinola are collaborating to introduce the Aviator concept. The luxury leather and watch retailer Shinola will augment the Aviator’s presently lush interior by adding new leather and suede seats, copper accents, and a woven metal mesh trim on the instrument panel and centre console. Surprisingly, we do not find the Shinola-branded dashboard clock.
Inside the luxury SUV, we find the plush-looking caramel leather and cream-coloured suede inserts on the seats, emphasised by an outlined stripe down the centre, a famous Shinola pattern. Lincoln designers inserted a blue accent to the stripe to leave their customary mark. The light colour is highlighted by a copper-coloured grille and rose-gold wheels.
We were expecting Lincoln to add a pair of identical leather and suede luggage for the boot, but, unfortunately, the Shinola-inspired Aviator concept doesn’t have it. Regrettably, it is just a design study now, so do not expect it to go into production. However, we might see a special limited-edition vehicle enthused by this design in the future.
