Subaru introduced the fifth-generation Forester in March 2018, and now they revealed its facelifted version in the home market. The 2022 Subaru Forester comes with subtle changes, the most obvious of which is restyled headlights. Besides, it gets reshaped grille and round or vertical fog lights, depending on the trim.
While we do not know anything about the rear design, we can tell the new Forester comes with new 18-inch wheels and three new shades (Autumn Green Metallic, Cascade Green Silica, Brilliant Bronze Metallic). The four trim levels still include Touring, X-Break, Advance, and Sport.
Inside, you would get new upholstery options, updated EyeSight, tweaked suspension as well as e-Active Shift Control for models featuring the e-Boxer hybrid engine.
The pre-order books for JDM-spec SUV are now open. For the US, it will likely debut soon featuring probably a turbocharged 1.8-litre gasoline engine pumping energy on the JDM-spec Sport trim. It creates 174 horsepower (130 kilowatts) and 221 pound-feet (300 Newton-meters) of torque. That’s 45 lb-ft (61 Nm) extra torque compared to the naturally aspirated 2.5-litre engine and improved low-end response due to forced induction.
