The LC200-generation Land Cruiser has been satisfying the customer’s needs for the last 14 years. However, undoubtedly it got outdated and demanded a change. It’s finally going to happen today as Toyota is ready to pull the wraps off the new Land Cruiser.
The full-size off-roader is mainly popular in Asian markets, especially the Middle East and Russia. Recently, we have seen leaked images and technical specifications. Were they legit, we will get to know today.
Reportedly, the new Land Cruiser is built on the TNGA-F platform, and won’t be offering the V8 engine. It will have a new twin-turbo V6 gasoline and V6 diesel engines, getting assistance from a ten-speed automatic transmission.
The leaked spec sheet tells the gasoline mill generates 409 horsepower (305 kilowatts) from 5,200 rpm and 480 pound-feet (650 Newton-meters) of torque between 2,000 rpm and 3,600 rpm. The 3.3-liter diesel should develop 302 hp (225 kW) from 4,000 rpm and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) between 1,600 rpm and 2,600 rpm.
