Consumer Research and Insight company, Piplsay just released their poll results regarding future electric pickup trucks. According to the report, the Ford F-150 Lightning will “fuel the electric truck rage.” The reason is the growing interest of consumers in Lightning, which compares closely to the Tesla Cybertruck and even tops it in few aspects.
We will see various electric pickup trucks in the near future including the Rivian R1T, coming in July 2021, the Cybertruck, F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, and Chevrolet Silverado Electric. Besides, we are expecting EV pickups from Lordstown and Bollinger.
What makes the F-150 Lightning better than the others is its traditional pickup truck styling along with a host of unique facilities.
According to Piplsay poll of around 28,000 people, nearly half of those are interested in buying an EV and half of them would like to pick an electric truck.
The Tesla Cybertruck and Ford Lightning are the two trucks most favoured by people followed by the Chevrolet Silverado. For buyers, the most crucial aspects are the specifications and price.
Nevertheless, the F-150 Lightning impresses motorists the most, pursued by the Cybertruck and Silverado.
