The 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Edition has hit the showrooms in the U.S. boasting some sporty design cues. Kia will produce 250 units each month starting at $52,585 for the rear-wheel-drive and $54,785 for the all-wheel-drive (excluding the $1,045 destination fee). The special edition is built on the GT2 model.

Seeing the images of the 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Edition, we can find black exterior elements on the fender trim and mirror caps. At the back, we can see a body-coloured rear spoiler and dark exhaust tips. The sedan sports 19-inch, 10-spoke wheels with a black finish. Kia offers the Scorpion Special Edition in Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, and Ceramic Silver.

Inside, it gets imitated carbon fibre trim and available red or black Nappa leather upholstery.

For the 2022 model year, Kia has updated the powerplant for the Stinger. The sedan comes with either a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder creating 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) and 311 pound-feet (422 Newton-meters) of torque or a twin-turbocharged 3.3-litre V6 offering 368 hp (274 kW). The automaker confirms, the four-banger is capable of hitting 60 miles per hour (96 kilometres per hour) in 5.2 seconds.

The 2022 Stinger costs $36,090 for the GT-Line grade, the GT1 sells at $43,690, while the GT2 is most expensive at $51,290.
