The 2022 Geneva International Motor Show is returning after two years of hiatus, as the organizers announced it last Thursday in a press release.
According to the schedule, the 91st Edition of the show will be open for press from Feb. 17-18, and to the public from Feb. 19-27. Interested companies should register by mid-July 2021. That said, there is still no guarantee the 2022 Geneva International Motor Show will happen as it depends on the COVID-19 situation.
“We really hope that the health situation and the corresponding policy regulations regarding COVID-19 will allow us to bring it to life,” Geneva International Motor Show CEO Sandro Mesquita told in a statement.
The 2020 Geneva auto show was stopped due to the pandemic just when all participants had exhibited their vehicles. Organizers thought to reschedule it later in the year but it couldn’t happen. It neither transpired in 2021.
The Geneva show wasn’t the only event cancelled in 2020. The New York auto show, as well as, the Detroit auto show were abandoned.
However, this year we witnessed Shanghai Auto Show in February. We also hope to see the Chicago Auto Show and New York Auto Show this year.
