The video is made and shared in association with the Abu Dhabi Police Follow-up and Control Center under the “You Comment” project.
Those overtaking the vehicles in the emergency lane receive a Dh1,000 fine and six black points, as per Article No. 42 of the Federal Road and Traffic Law.
Abu Dhabi Police have emphasized not using the emergency lane for overtaking because doing so can prevent the movement of emergency vehicles. It will possibly obstruct them from reaching the accident scene on time and could precious lives.
