The Renault Megane E-Tech Electric has just been teased featuring similar looks to Megane eVision Concept, which was revealed in October last year. The teaser images reveal the rear portion, some of the interior as well as the digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen. The backend appears almost the same as the concept with a full-width lighting strip joining the thin taillights.
At the rear, we also find the new badge of Renault. The brand’s boss, Luca De Meo told earlier that the concept and the production model will be almost 95 percent the same. We can confirm it as we have seen the spy shots of the production version with virtually the same proportions as the concept.
The interior images reveal an EV everyone would expect; very less buttons and an infotainment screen to control different vehicle functions. We can also see a big storage space underneath the infotainment screen.
The Megane E-Tech Electric will use the CMF-EV platform, which is a co-product of Nissan and Renault. The same platform Nissan uses for its Ariya. We do not know anything about the powertrain yet, but it won’t take long to find out these details as the automaker wants to unveil it soon. The E-Tech will hit the roads anytime next year.
