The British-born brand MG Motor will reportedly introduce an electric sports car before the end of this year. First previewed in the shape of E-Motion concept in 2017, the coupe will bring the brand back to its roots.
According to Autocar, the four-seater coupe will be an evolution of the E-Motion. It will supposedly house a couple of electric motors powering all the wheels. While we have no idea what will be its specification, taking the E-Motion’s 0-to-60 of under four seconds and at least 300 miles of range, we can gladly say the new MG electric sports car will be a deal-breaker.
While this electric coupe might make the MG stand out in the competition, it won’t improve the sales much. For this, the company is relying on a small electric city car like the Honda E, as per another report by Autocar. It should be here before the end of 2021.
