From today, Abu Dhabi Darb toll system will start working to manage traffic during peak hours. In case, you failed to register your vehicle with the Abu Dhabi Darb toll system, you should do it immediately to avoid fines.
How to register your vehicle
Open darb.itc.gov.ae. You will need the following things for registration.
- Your traffic file number code.
- Your Emirates ID for data verification.
- Your personal email or company email if you are registering a company vehicle.
- The mobile number associated with the traffic file number.
Darb toll fines
The authority will fine you as per the following rules.
Unregistered Vehicle Fine for the First Pass
You will receive a Dh100 fine on passing the tolling gate for the first time after the grace period of 10 working days ends. The grace period starts after the last date of registration.
Unregistered Vehicle Fine at Second Time
The next trip to the Darb toll gate on your unregistered vehicle will fetch you a Dh200 fine.
Unregistered Vehicle Fine at Third Time
The third visit will be costlier bringing a Dh400 fine.
Insufficient Balance Fine
In case you are on the toll gate with insufficient balance, you have to bear a fine of Dh50. It is for vehicles that do not have an Abu Dhabi license plate number. The authorities give five days grace period to top up the balance.
Manipulation Fine
Those who found manipulating with the vehicle’s license plate to avoid the payment of traffic charges will get a fine of Dh10,000.
Damaging Fine
Those who damage the electronic payment machines or toll gates will receive a fine of Dh10,000.
What happens if a fine is issued on your vehicle?
Once you commit a violation, you will receive a text message from the Abu Dhabi darb toll system. You can pay your fine at www.darb.itc.gov.ae or on DARB mobile app (Google Play, Apple App Store).
