FCA is going to upgrade its plant in Tychy, Poland, to develop hybrid and electric vehicles for Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Jeep. Reportedly, three new models will be created at this facility, apparently one from each of these brands. The development will begin in the second half of 2022. FCA didn’t tell how much money it plans to invest in the plant.

FCA didn’t give us specific details of the new models. They only hinted at “technologically advanced models based on a new concept of mobility” and “using the most advanced drive systems, including all-electric drive.”

As per details from Motor1.com’s Italian edition, the new vehicle from Alfa Romeo could be the Brennero – the automaker’s upcoming compact crossover. The other two vehicles may include the successors to the Fiat 500X and Jeep Renegade.

From the company’s press release, we believe all these vehicles will be accessible in combustion, hybrid, and electric flavors.

The Tychy plant is built on a total area of 2.4 square kilometers (0.9266 square miles), comprising 42 supplier facilities. The plant employs 2,500 workers. Last year, the facility created 263,176 vehicles.
