To commemorate Bentley’s record-breaking run up the world-renowned Pikes Peak course in Colorado, USA, the automaker promised Pikes Peak Continental GT. Only 15 units were planned for chosen customers around the world. All the fifteen units are going to be hand-built at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, England.
The Limited Edition Continental GT by Mulliner is now getting ready to be delivered to their exclusive customers in Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, New Zealand, Latvia, and the United Kingdom. Five of these are going to be dispatched for the USA customers.
The Continental GT made history eight months ago when it completed the Pikes Peak hill climb in 10 minutes and 18.4 seconds beating the previous record by eight seconds. Behind the wheels was ‘King of the Mountain’, Rhys Millen.
The Pikes Peak Continental GT Limited Edition differs from its standard version through unique Radium by Mulliner paintwork, matched by a lightweight, carbon fiber body kit. Acid Green brake calipers and Pirelli P Zero Color Edition tires round up the overall striking appearance.
Inside, it has Alcantara with contrasting Radium thread stitching while the steering wheel has a honeycomb Radium stitching pattern.
The Pikes Peak Continental GT by Mulliner houses the same 12-cylinder petrol engine that the car used to beat the record last year. The twin-turbocharged Bentley W12 pumps out 626 bhp and 900 Nm of torque, allowing the luxury car to accelerate from 1-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds (0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds) with a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).
