Hennessey has been postponing the Venom F5 official debut for a long time (the latest date it missed was of November). However, this time it is definitely as they plan to launch the hypercar on December 15, 2020, at 12:00 PM CST (6:00 PM GMT).
The soon-to-be low-volume car manufacturer has recently posted a teaser image, which shows a redesigned set of wheels sporting Hennessey’s logo.
While we do not have any issue with the new wheels, we really do not want the company to change its promise of 300+ mph speed. In fact, the Texas tuner has vowed to go beyond 500 km/h (311 mph) and make F5 the fastest production car in the world.
To make it possible, the Venom F5 carries a twin-turbo 6.6-liter V8 mill creating an incredible 1,817 horsepower (1,354 kilowatts) and 1,193 pound-feet (1,617 Newton-meters) of torque. This massive power will be transferred to the wheels of the lightweight body frame that weighs around 3,000 pounds (1,360 kilograms).
At the launch, we hope Hennessey will also throw some light on its plans to attempt the top-speed run.
