The Japanese automaker is getting ready for the third-generation Nissan Qashqai featuring an updated interior and roomier cabin. The highlight of the alterations is the nine-inch touchscreen supporting Android Auto and wireless Apple Carplay.
Besides, it has a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster along with a 10.8-inch head-up display (accessible on the high-end models). Premium variants also come with a 10-speaker Bose sound system with a subwoofer fixed in the cargo compartment.
The third-generation Nissan Qashqai also gets better in the tech department offering wireless charging, front and rear USB ports accompanied by Amazon Alexa integration, and Vehicle Health Reports. Buyers would also be able to use the NissanConnect smartphone app to remotely control the horn and lights in addition to lock/unlock the doors etc.
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai has been extended to give more room to rear passengers and accommodate extra luggage. The rear-seat passengers get 1.1 inches more knee space while headroom for both front and rear is improved by 0.6 in. The Qashqai now measures 1.37 in longer, 1.25 in wider, and 1 in taller than the outgoing model with the wheelbase adding 0.8 in.
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai will hit the European roads next year featuring a mild-hybrid 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline mill pumping out 138 horsepower for the manual front-wheel-drive model. The automatic transmission models can be paired with an AWD and generate up to 155 hp. The company also plans to introduce an e-Power hybrid later on churning out 188 hp.
Pricing details will be revealed closer to the launch. For reference, the 2020 Qashqai sells at around AED 77,500.
