A UK-based startup, Naran Automotive has introduced a V8 Hyper Coupe, which they creatively call Naran. Before you say, yet another hypercar from a startup, you should stop because the Naran is taking things a bit differently.
It is not a hybrid or all-electric hypercar, we see from most supercar startups. The Naran is powered by a 5.0L gasoline V8 mill developed in association with Racing Dynamics. The mill features two turbochargers that help it to generate 1,062 horsepower (781 kilowatts). The power goes to all the wheels and aids the car to hit 96 km/h in less than 3.0 seconds. The maximum speed is 370 km/h.
The Naran V8 Hyper Coupe is not all muscles. It aims at providing a GT3-style experience. It boasts a motorsport-inspired double-wishbone suspension and lets drivers control the car with a non-electric power steering. The aero package offers around 3,036 pounds (1,377 kilograms) of downforce to make maneuvering easier at high speeds.
The automaker will produce only 49 units of the hypercar, each giving customers the complete authority of customization. They can even choose a bespoke name for their car. The official reveal may happen in early 2021. The pricing details will be revealed on the debut.
