At the 2020 Beijing Motor Show, a BAIC-owned brand showcased an electric concept to take on the Tesla Model S. Named Beijing Radiance Concept, the car boasts an ultra-modern look and a driving range that surpasses (at least in concept form) its biggest competitor Model S.

While no official details are revealed about the Beijing Radiance Concept, CarNewsChina says, it will deliver a mighty 497 miles (800 kilometers) drive range in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Reportedly, it will come with level 4 autonomous driving tech to rival Tesla autopilot.

While it does look space-age in the concept form, we should know that the production model will be more passive.

The four-door coupe continues the futurism theme inside as well, with minimum controls, an integrated touchscreen on the steering wheel, and a big infotainment system.

It is still unclear when this concept will go into production and whether it will be available for the worldwide markets or not. However, if they maintain the specs we mentioned above, it will be a worthy competitor of Tesla in China.
