The facelifted 2021 Peugeot 3008 has been unveiled featuring an aggressive look, plenty of new goodies, and two hybrid models to keep the crossover fresh and competitive.
The compact crossover follows the same design theme on the front as other vehicles in the company’s portfolio boasting headlights with the daytime running lights stretching all the way down. Another prominent alteration is a considerably big front grille with a frameless styling and stretching beneath the redesigned headlights.
Step inside and the new 2021 Peugeot 3008 now welcomes you with an improved and bigger 10-inch display replacing the 8-inch infotainment system along with a completely customizable 12.3-inch digital driver’s screen.
What enhances the 3008’s appeal is a range of powertrains starting from a turbocharged 1.2L 3-cylinder gasoline good for 130 horsepower, mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The second in the lineup is a four-cylinder 1.6L mill creating 180 hp, paired with an eight-speed auto.
The diesel lovers can opt for a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine yielding 130 hp. You can choose between manual and automatic gearboxes.
The environment-conscious individuals would be happy to select between two hybrids. The first one is a two-wheel-drive 3008 powered by a 180-horsepower combustion engine assisted by a 110-hp electric motor. It mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain generates 225 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque enabling the crossover to hit 100 km/h mark in 8.7 seconds and maxing out at 225 km/h.
The most powerful 2021 Peugeot 3008 hybrid houses a 200-hp gasoline mill assisted by two powerful motors. The 110-hp electric motor on the front and the 112-hp electric motor at the rear when pair with the combustion engine create 300 hp and 520 Nm of torque. Helped by an eight-speed automatic transmission, this all-wheel-drive model can accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 235 km/h.
The electric motors in the hybrids take assistance from a 13.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack offering 56 kilometers of range on WLTP-cycle for the two-wheel-drive and 59 km for the all-wheel model.
The facelifted 2021 Peugeot 3008 will hit the dealership by the end of this year. The pricing details are not revealed yet, however, the base model starts at around AED 99,900.
