The V-Series sports sedans (CT4-V and CT5-V) are going to get even better with the Blackwing models. The Cadillac’s teaser of Blackwing steering wheel confirms the company’s plans they revealed in 2019.
The single teaser image of the Blackwing steering wheel does not give us a good idea of these performance cars, we can only tell what we see here. The steering is made of leather, elegant stitching, and carbon fiber. There are a red racing stripe and a new “V” button, situated to the left and under the infotainment controls.
The teaser also gives us an idea of the car’s top speed. The “200” figure on the speedometer likely specifies the top speed of the model. We believe it is the maximum speed the CT5-V Blackwing could generate.
We also think the Blackwing models will not carry the twin-turbocharged 4.2L V8 (once accessible on the CT6-V) rather they will house a twin-turbo 3.6L V6 that generates 464 horsepower and 603 Newton-meters of torque. However, for the Blackwing models, we expect a higher output.
The 2021 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models will show their full face before the end of this year with deliveries starting in the mid of next year. We do not know about the pricing yet.
